I have a somewhat similar story, of taking on a job to care for a difficult horse and falling in love. In my story the owner became jealous that the horse loved me and immediately ended my time with the horse and barred me from the barn. I still think about that horse all of the time. I love, love, loved this story and love that you and Whitby got to be together and love and care for one another!!
