This gives me hope in the darkness of despair I feel about all of this book censorship. The Glass Castle is a beautiful heartbreaking book and what I took from it was that hard times don't have to break you. You don't have to follow the same road as your parents and that is a powerful thing to say. And maybe why parents want it banned.
