Your comment about how the government couldn't do such a huge effort in these modern times makes me think about the first moon landing. I am not sure that could happen again the way it did. Such a miraculous accomplishment.

I understand the movie mixes facts with fiction on purpose to tell the story. I haven't read the book on which it is based (American Prometheus) but I don't think it's written that way.
